SJ_GR851 St. Joseph, MO Wed Nov 21, 2018 USDA-MO Dept of Ag Market News WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW ***Report released early due to holiday.*** Compared to last week, cash bids for wheat and corn were mixed, while sorghum and soybeans were lower. Harvest is getting closer to wrapped up this week in most states except Minnesota, Nebraska and the Dakots are behind the five-year averages due to rain and snow in recent weeks. Hopefully forecasts come to fruition and allow those ares to make progress in the next week or so. On Tuesday, USDA reported a 4.5 million bushel sale of soybeans to unknown destinations while on Monday, USDA said 5.4 million bushels of corn and 38.8 million bushels of soybeans were inspected for export last week. Both values could be viewed as bearish. Wheat was from 27 3/4 cents lower to 2 1/4 cents higher. Corn was from 6 cents lower to 2 1/4 cents higher. Sorghum was 9 to 11 cents lower. Soybeans were 5 3/4 cents lower. WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 7 to 16 cents lower from 5.88-5.94 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 7 cents lower from 5.22-5.23 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 27 3/4 cents lower to 2 1/4 cents higher from 6.87-7.17 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was steady to 5 cents lower from 6.15-6.35 per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was not quoted. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 5 3/4 cents lower at 3.61 3/4 per bushel. Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 5 to 6 cents lower from 3.46-3.47 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 2 3/4 to 5 3/4 cents lower from 3.16 3/4-3.34 3/4 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 1 1/4 to 2 1/4 cent higher from 3.47 3/4-3.48 3/4 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 4 3/4 cents lower at 3.28 3/4 per bushel. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 3/4 cent lower to 6 1/4 cents higher from 2.94 1/2-3.51 1/2 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not quoted. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not quoted. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 10 cents lower from 5.57-5.66 per cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 9 to 11 cents lower from 6.09-6.55 per cwt. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were not quoted. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 5 3/4 cents lower from 8.28-8.63 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 5 3/4 cents lower from 8.48-8.53 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent soybean meal, processor rail bid was 0.20 to 1.20points higher from 306.60-311.60 per bushel. Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 0.11 points higher from 27.20-28.05 per cwt.
