SJ_GR851 St. Joseph, MO Fri Jul 19, 2019 USDA-MO Dept of Ag Market News WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW Compared to last week, cash bids for wheat was mostly lower, with Dark Northern Spring Wheat firm; corn was mostly lower and sorghum and soybeans were lower. Ethanol production for week ending July 12th totaled 1.066 million barrels per day, a 19,000 barrel increase when compared to the week prior. Ethanol stocks were at 23.36 mb this week, an increase of .356 mb. Monday's crop condition report showed corn at 58 percent good to excellent which would be 14 percent less than a year ago this time. Soybean condition was reported at 54 percent good to excellent which is 15 percent less than the same time a year ago. For the week ending July 11, 2019, 7.9 million bushels of corn export sales for 2018- 19 and an increase of 5.2 mb for 2019-20 were reported, while 4.9 million bushels of soybean exports sales for 2018-19 and 7.3 million bushels for 2019-20 were tabulated. Wheat export sales of 12.8 million bushels for 2019-20 were included in the latest report. Hard Red and Sort Red Wheat was 26 cents to 35 1/2 cents lower; Dark Northern Spring Wheat was 3/4 cent to 5 3/4 cents lower; Soft White Wheat was unchanged to 7 cents higher. White Corn was 4 1/4 cents to 9 3/4 cents higher, while Yellow Corn was 14 3/4 cents to 24 3/4 cents lower. Sorghum was 34 cents to 36 cents lower. Soybeans were 5 3/4 cents to 22 3/4 cents lower. WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 35 1/2 cents lower from 5.17 3/4-5.27 3/4 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 26 to 28 cents lower from 4.93-4.94 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 3/4 to 5 3/4 cent lower from 6.15 1/2-6.20 1/2 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was steady to 7 cents higher from 5.75-6.20 per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 4 1/4 to 9 3/4 cents higher from 4.43 1/4-4.56 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 14 3/4 cents lower from 4.24 1/2-4.44 1/2 per bushel. Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 18 to 19 cents lower from 4.31-4.35 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 19 3/4 to 24 3/4 cents lower from 4.41 1/2-4.59 1/2 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 19 3/4 to 22 3/4 cents lower from 4.59 1/2-4.62 1/2 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 16 3/4 cents lower at 3.99 1/2 per bushel. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 3 1/2 to 11 1/2 cents lower from 2.93 3/4-3.24 3/4 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not quoted. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not quoted. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 35 to 36 cents lower from 6.94- 7.13 per cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 34 to 35 cents lower from 6.87-7.57 per cwt. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 5 3/4 cents lower at 8.46 1/4 per bushel. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 22 3/4 cents lower from 8.71 1/4-9.01 1/4 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 7 3/4 to 12 3/4 cents lower from 8.31 1/4-8.51 1/4 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent soybean meal, processor rail bid was 3.40 to 5.40 lower from 305.00-317.00 per bushel. Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 0.54 points lower from 27.14-27.39 per cwt.
