SJ_GR851 St. Joseph, MO Fri Apr 26, 2019 USDA-MO Dept of Ag Market News WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW Compared to last week, cash bids for wheat, corn, sorghum and soybeans were lower. Ethanol production for week ending April 19th totaled 1.048 million barrels per day, an increase of 32,000 barrels when compared to the week prior. Ethanol stocks were increased by 71,000 barrels to 22.7 mb. Monday's planting progress report for w/e 4/21/2019 revealed that planting pace is slightly below the average at this point in time. Farmers have been in the fields in many states this week and the corn planted percentage number next week is expected to move up more than 3 percent like it did from the week prior. Cash soybean bids at country elevators in many states now have a 7 figure as the front number and commodity prices are trying to get a foot hold after losses the last couple of weeks. Winter wheat reported at 92 percent Fair to Excellent compared to 91 percent the previous week and 63 percent the previous year. Export sales for week ending April 18 totaled 30.7 million bushels of corn; 21.9 million bushels of soybeans and 15.6 million bushels of wheat. Wheat was steady to 37 1/2 cents lower. Corn was 4 cents to 17 cents lower. Sorghum was 19 to 20 cents lower. Soybeans were 11 1/4 cents to 21 1/4 cents lower. WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 25 3/4 cents lower from 5.24 1/4-5.34 1/4 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 9 to 10 cents lower from 4.66-4.72 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 32 1/2 to 37 1/2 cents lower from 6.00 3/4-6.05 3/4 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was steady to 5 cents lower from 5.80-5.90 per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 8 1/4 to 14 3/4 cents lower from 3.62 1/4-3.71 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 7 to 10 cents lower from 3.43 1/2-3.65 1/2 per bushel. Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 4 to 5 cents lower from 3.50-3.57 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 11 to 17 cents lower from 3.42 1/2-3.51 1/2 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 9 to 11 cents lower from 3.38 1/2-3.43 1/2 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was not quoted. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 9 to 14 cents higher from 3.06-3.61 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not quoted. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not quoted. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 20 cents lower from 5.58-5.67 per cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 19 cents lower from 5.59-6.29 per cwt. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 17 1/4 cents lower at 8.01 1/4 per bushel. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 11 1/4 to 19 1/4 cents lower from 8.34 1/4-8.41 1/4 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 16 1/4 to 21 1/4 cents lower from 8.09 1/4-8.29 1/4 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent soybean meal, processor rail bid was 0.80 to 2.80points higher from 301.00-306.00 per bushel. Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 1.41 lower from 26.64-26.89 per cwt.
