SJ_GR851 St. Joseph, MO Fri Feb 15, 2019 USDA-MO Dept of Ag Market News WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW Compared to last week, cash bids for wheat were higher, corn, soybeans and sorghum were mixed. Export inspections for week ending February 7th totaled 29.2 million bushels of corn, 39 million bushels of soybeans and 20.6 million bushels of wheat. All export inspection figures were lower when compared to the week prior. Ethanol production for the week ending February 8th saw a 62,000 barrel per day increase compared to the week prior, totaling 1.029 million barrels per day. USDA said export sales figures for week ending January 3rd totaled 18.1 million bushels of corn, 22.5 million bushels of soybeans, and 4.8 million bushels of wheat. Wheat was 6 to 15 cents lower. Corn was 2 cents lower to 5 cents higher. Sorghum was 6 cents lower to 24 cents higher. Soybeans were 9 cents lower to 3 cents higher. WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 14 3/4 cents lower from 5.91 1/2-6.06 1/2 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 6 to 9 cents lower from 5.37-5.42 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 1/4 cent higher at 7.24 3/4 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was 8 to 15 cents lower from 6.20-6.50 per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 1 1/4 to 2 1/4 cents lower from 3.89-3.94 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 1 3/4 cents lower to 5 1/4 cents higher from 3.61 3/4-3.79 3/4 per bushel. Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 4 to 5 cents higher from 3.66-3.70 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 1 3/4 cents lower from 3.39 3/4-3.56 3/4 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 1/4 to 1 1/4 cents higher from 3.66 3/4-3.68 3/4 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was not quoted. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 4 1/4 cents lower to 3/4 cent higher from 3.10-3.37 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not quoted. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was has no comparison from 6.20-6.50 per bushel. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 4 to 24 cents higher at 6.07 per cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 2 to 6 cents lower from 6.14-6.69 per cwt. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were not quoted. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 6 3/4 to 8 3/4 cents lower from 8.71 1/2-8.86 1/2 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 4 3/4 cents lower to 3 1/4 cents higher from 8.51 1/2-8.68 1/2 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent soybean meal, processor rail bid was steady to 4.00 higher from 304.50-307.50 per bushel. Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 0.92 to 0.92 points lower from 29.09-29.39 per cwt.
