SJ_GR851 St. Joseph, MO Fri May 29, 2020 USDA-MO Dept of Ag Market News WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW " Compared to last week, cash bids for Corn, Sorghum and Soybeans are higher; Wheat is mostly higher. For the week ending May 21, 2020, an increase of 16.8 million bushels of corn export sales for 2019-20 were reported while an increase of 23.7 million bushels of soybean exports sales for 2019-20 were formulated. Wheat export sales showed an increase of 7.7 million bushels for 2019-20 were reported. Sorghum export sales reported an increase of 7.1 million bushels for 2019-20. Ethanol production for the week ending May 22, 2020 reported a slight increase at 0.663 million barrels a day. Ethanol stocks decreased 0.450 million barrels at 23.15 million barrels. For the week ending May 24, 2020, corn planted is at 88 percent which is 33 percent higher than a year ago. Corn Emerged is at 64 percent which is 36 percent higher than a year ago. Soybeans planted is at 65 percent which is 39 percent higher than a year ago. Sorghum is at 39 percent which is 12 percent higher than a year ago. Wheat was 7 cents lower to 26 1/4 cents higher. Corn was 3 1/4 cents to 24 3/4 cents higher. Sorghum was 16 to 54 cents higher. Soybeans were 10 to 16 cents higher." WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 11 1/2 cents higher from 5.56-5.66 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 2 cents lower at 5.34 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 26 1/4 cents higher at 6.59 1/4 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was 7 cents lower to 1 cent higher from 6.00-6.10 per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 3 1/4 to 10 1/2 cents higher from 3.19 1/2-3.30 3/4 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 5 3/4 to 9 3/4 cents higher from 3.25 1/2-3.35 1/2 per bushel. Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 12 to 15 cents higher from 3.10-3.22 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 9 3/4 to 24 3/4 cents higher from 3.22 1/2-3.42 1/2 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 9 3/4 cents higher from 3.08 1/2-3.19 1/2 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 12 3/4 cents higher at 3.10 1/2 per bushel. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 1/4 cent lower to 8 3/4 cents higher from 3.06 1/2-3.88 1/2 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not quoted. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not quoted. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 17 to 54 cents higher from 6.21- 6.38 per cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 16 to 18 cents higher from 5.34-6.02 per cwt. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 12 cents higher at 8.27 per bushel. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 12 to 16 cents higher from 8.44-8.61 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 10 to 12 cents higher from 8.20-8.52 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent soybean meal, processor rail bid was 1.80 higher from 284.30-287.30 per bushel. Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 0.28 points higher from 25.64-26.09 per cwt.
