Compared to last Tuesday feeder steers under 700 lbs sold mostly
5.00 higher with very good demand for 450-650 lb weaned packages.
Yearlings sold steady. Feeder heifers sold mostly steady with some
featherweights sharply higher with good demand. Quality was average
through attractive. Slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 4.00 lower with light
demand. Slaughter bulls sold 2.00 lower with moderate demand.
15 replacement cattle, 121 slaughter cattle, 1005 feeder cattle.
Today's feeder supply included 39 percent steers, 12 percent bulls
and 38 percent heifers, with 62 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
