Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 12/13/2018
Receipts: 1324 Last Week: 1355 Year Ago: 2104
Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold 1.00 to 5.00
higher. Trade activity was moderate on moderate to good demand. Very
high winds hampered cattle movement and curbed receipts. Slaughter cows
and bulls sold steady to firm. Slaughter cows and bulls made up 3
percent, 0 percent replacements, and 97 percent feeders. Feeder supply
consisted of 48 percent steers and bulls, 52 percent heifers.
Approximately 71 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
