MD_DA751 Casein - National Casein Report for U.S. Imports Report 25 - Released on June 23, 2022 Rennet and acid casein prices moved higher in most aspects this week, as trading picked up slightly despite a very tight global market. European heatwaves are expected to put a noticeable damper on milk production, while New Zealand's milk production is at its seasonal lull. All said, casein markets are expected to remain very firm moving forward into the second half of the year. Some South American producer contacts continue to say they are managing their respective, and also limited, production for near term trading into domestic U.S. markets. That said, any relief to upward market price pressures are not the expectation. Casein markets are, and are expected to remain, very bullish.
