Casein - National Casein Report for U.S. Imports

     Report 27 - Released on July 03, 2019

Rennet casein prices are weaker at the low end of the price range but slightly higher at the
top. Top end price strength represents near term delivery. Acid casein prices are lower.

Even though it is still seasonally a low to no production period in many New Zealand plants
making casein, more offerings of rennet casein from stocks became available to buyers this
week. That led to some competition for buyers with interest for summer use. For early fall,
there was less buyer interest. Casein production in Western Europe has been steady at a
seasonally lower level. This is consistent with buyer expectations.
