SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, feeder 
cattle were steady to 4.00 lower.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 
400-500 lbs 124.00-136.00, 500-600 lbs 125.00-133.00.  Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-450 lbs 122.00-135.00, 500-600 lbs 120.00-
128.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 117.00-125.00, 
500-600 lbs 111.00-123.00.  Slaughter cows were steady to 2.00 lower. 
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 55.00-74.00; Boners 85-85% lean 
53.00-69.00; Lean 85-90% lean 49.00-59.00; Lean low dressing 38.00-
49.00.  Slaughter bulls were mostly steady.  Slaughter Bulls: 1055-2165 
lbs 77.00-99.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 845-1140 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 640.00-910.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 725-770 
lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs 500.00-690.00 per 
pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 0.05 higher at 57.56.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 39.95; 450-500 lbs 40.80; 500-550 lbs 45.61. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday:  New crop corn was steady to 1 cent higher; 
elevator bids 4.88-5.03, processor bids 4.93-5.23.  Soybeans were 5 to
6 cents lower; elevator bids 8.28-8.64, processor bid 9.18, and export 
9.13. Wheat was steady to 3 cents lower; elevator bids 5.31-5.60. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.29 
higher at 62.65.
