SC Farm Report on Tuesday

    Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, all classes 
of feeder cattle were steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 143.00-155.00, 500-600 lbs 130.00-143.00.  Feeder 
Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 137.50-164.00, 500-600 lbs 
127.00-144.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 127.50-
149.00, 500-600 lbs 117.00-124.00.  Slaughter cows were mostly steady.  
Slaughter cows:  Breakers 75-80% lean 44.00-48.00; Boners 85-85% lean 
40.00-61.00; Lean 85-90% lean 40.00-48.00; Lean low dressing 27.00-
32.00. Slaughter bulls were steady.  Slaughter Bulls: 1010-2035 lbs 
53.00-77.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 895-1500 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cows with 100-410 lbs calves 625.00-1300.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 1.08 lower at 37.03.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 28.46; 450-500 lbs 30.39; 500-550 lbs 34.69. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday.  Corn was 2 to 3 cents lower; elevator bids 4.07-
4.19, processor bids 4.09-4.64.  Soybeans were 7 to 8 cents lower; 
elevator bids 8.34-8.84, processor bid 9.09 and export 9.09.  New Crop 
Wheat was mostly 4 cents higher; elevator bids 4.93-5.32. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was at 
70.88. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
