Kansas had a taste of winter-like weather last week with temperatures dipping into the teen's and twenties, leaving frost on the grass. Even a stray snowflake or two could be found in the northwest counties. Milder weather, however, was ushered in over the weekend, with highs in the 60's and 70's with lots of sunshine. Farmers are in the field busy with corn and bean harvest and some even have a little hay left to bale.
