Buttermilk - Eastern and Central U.S.

     Report 29 - Released on July 18, 2019

CENTRAL: Dry buttermilk prices were unchanged. Dry buttermilk trading has been steady to
quiet in recent weeks, and most of those trades are falling somewhere in the middle of the
range. Bulk trades are keeping the lower end anchored, while preferred-brand trades are
maintaining the top end of the range. Supplies are tight, while producers focus on drying
condensed skim. Demand is steady enough to maintain a generally balanced market dynamic.
Therefore, dry buttermilk market tones are stable.

EAST: Dry buttermilk markets are steady, with unchanged prices in the East. Activity in the
dry buttermilk spot markets remains lackluster, due to light inventories, managed around
contractual customers' needs. Handlers are servicing those customers with minimal problems.
At best, spot buyers are able to acquire less-than-loads. The market tone is steady to
     unsettled.

     Price Range ; $/LB: 1.0200 - 1.1000
