Combined United States Potato and Canadian Potato Production Up 2 Percent From 2018 This publication is the result of a joint effort by Statistics Canada and USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) to publish potato production for both countries in one report. United States 2019 potato production was released January 10, 2020 and Canadian production was released January 21, 2020. The 2019 potato production for the United States and Canada combined is estimated at 529 million cwt, up 2 percent from 2018 estimate. The United States potato production is estimated at 423 million cwt. Canada's potato growers harvested 106 million cwt, up 4 percent from 2018.
