Florida Cattle Auctions Daily Summary
Florida Livestock Auctions that were held Tuesday January 8, 2019

Cattle auctions at Lakeland (630), Madison (242), Okeechobee (1608) 
and Sumter County (944). Receipts Tuesday 3,424, last week N/S, 
last year 2,740. No trends available due to the markets being 
closed the previous two weeks for the holidays. 

Slaughter cows 19 percent; slaughter bulls 3 percent; and feeders 
78 percent. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 
28 percent of the run; heifers 44 percent; bulls 20 percent and 
replacement cows 8 percent. Feeders over 600 lbs totaled around 
3 percent.
