Good demand for this light offering of steers and heifers. The market was very active, offering mostly small packages and part loads except for 1 full load of heifers. Some packers did not participate again this week. Weighing condition average to full, cattle hides still carrying tag as feedyard conditions remain poor overall. Estimated dressed cost looked to be 213.00-215.00. Two way buyers were more active this week and were willing to buy some cattle, whereas last week they weren’t as active. Sharply lower cattle futures did not affect the market at the auction as supplies of market ready cattle are limited. Slaughter cows and bulls 2.00 to 3.00 higher than Monday’s sale, bulls firm. 47 percent steers, 53 percent heifers. Offerings 68 percent fed cattle, balance slaughter cows and bulls.
