   Compared to last week:  Slaughter steers and heifers steady to 1.00 
higher, with instances 2.00 higher on heifers.  Holstein steers 5.00 to 
8.00 higher.  Moderate demand on this very large offering of long time 
fed steers and heifers.  Fewer packer buyers participating this week, two 
way cattle buyers helped to push the market along.  16 full loads of 
heifers and 9 full loads of steer with the balance being part loads and 
small packages.  Weighing conditions and dirty hides hurt dressing 
percents.  Cattle carrying 1 to 1.5 percent tag.  This week’s estimated 
dressed cost 196.00 to 199.00.  Slaughter cows, as compared to Monday 
2.00 lower few instances steady, bulls steady.  44 percent steers, 56 
percent heifers.  Offerings 79 percent fed cattle, balance slaughter cows 
and bulls.

   Steers:  Choice 2-3 1381-1444 lbs 121.50-124.00, Low Dress 118.00.  
Choice 3-4 1506-1631 lbs 118.00-122.00.  Select and Choice 2-3 1404-1444 
lbs 118.00-118.50.  Returning to the Country:  Select and Choice
2-3 1171-1451 lbs 121.00-126.00.

   Holstein Steers:  Choice 2-3 1210-1676 lbs 86.75-92.00.  Select and 
Choice 2-3 1374 lbs 83.00.

   Heifers:  Choice 2-4 1224-1500 lbs 118.00-122.75, Low Dress 115.50-
118.75.  Select and Choice 2-3 1151-1174 lbs 114.00, Low Dress 113.00.
