Demand for first cutting appears good but prices remain untested. A small amount of alfalfa has been cut and most of this received rain damage. Widespread rains and flooding are also curtailing wheat hay baling. Demand for wheat hay is very good. Eastern Oklahoma: No recent sales confirmed. Western Oklahoma: No recent test. Old Crop Grass Hay Central Oklahoma: Good quality mixed grass hay 5 X 5 and 5 X 6 bales 50.00-60.00 per bale. Western Oklahoma: Good quality mixed grass round bales 90.00-110.00 per ton. Mixed grass 5 X 5 1/2 to 5 X 6 bales 55.00-70.00 per bale. Eastern Oklahoma: Mixed grass hay in 4 x 5 bales 55.00-65.00 per bale. Prices are dollars per ton and FOB unless otherwise noted.
