Very good demand for all types of hay in this active market. Growers are starting to cut and bale the new hay crop bringing much needed supply stability. Corn planted in South Dakota at 64% with 34% emerged as of Monday; compared to 99% planted and 92% emerged on the 5 year average. Soybeans planted in South Dakota at 43% with 11% emerged as of Monday; compared to 93% planted and 76% emerged on the 5 year average. Pasture and range condition reported on Monday 19% Excellent, 52% Good, and 24% Fair. Area temperatures in the mid 70s and light rain expected this weekend and next weekend.
