The bottom of the price range moved upwards, while the top of the range moved lower. Manufacturers are mostly making WMP to fill existing contracts. That said, sales within the EU are steady but are limited into export channels. WMP inventories are sufficient to cover current customer needs. EU WMP production January - August 2022 is estimated at 470,655 MT, a decrease of 8.6 percent from January - August 2021. Among some of the leading European WMP producing countries, the January - August 2022 quantity and percentage change compared with January - August 2021 are Germany, 182,795 MT, -6.5 percent; France, 82,740, -1.6 percent; and Netherlands, 64,900 MT, -26.9 percent. YTD European WMP Exports WMP exports from the EU27 January - August 2022, 168,000 MT, decreased 19.7 percent from January - August 2021 according to CLAL data made available to USDA. Main destinations January - August 2022, quantity, and percent change from January - August 2021 are Oman, 39,836 MT, +21.98 percent; China, 14,527 MT, -6.82 percent; and United Kingdom, 10,935 MT, -10.61 percent.
