SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance 


New York eggs prices are steady on all sizes.  Regional and
California prices are steady.  Asking prices for next week's 
deliveries are trending steady in the Midwest and Northeast,
steady to lower elsewhere.  The undertone is steady, however
lower in California.  Offerings in California are light on
Jumbo and moderate to at times heavy on the balance, while
in the remaining areas offerings are moderate.  Demand into
the retail and food service channels is light to fairly good,
generally moderate.  Supplies are in a full range, mostly
moderate to satisfy needs entering the weekend.  Lingering
snowstorms continue to hamper delivery schedules in some
areas in the Northeast.  Market activity is slow to moderate.
Breaking stock floor stocks are moderate; breaking schedules
are irregular.  Light type fowl supplies are adequate for the
light to fair at best demand.
