SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance 


New York prices are 2 cents lower on heavier weight eggs,
unchanged on Medium.  California and regional prices are
steady.  The undertone is steady to lower.  Supplies are 
usually moderate to heavy for current trade needs.  The
shell egg inventory is down 3.7 percent when compared to
the previous week.  Offerings are in a full range, mostly
moderate to at times heavy.  Demand into the retail and
food service channels is light to moderate.  Market activity
is slow to moderate.  Breaking stock offerings are moderate
to occasionally heavy for the light to moderate demand.  
Breaking stock inventory is 3.4 percent higher than last 
week.  Light type hen offerings are sufficient; processing 
schedules are normal to less than normal due to the holiday.
