SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance 


Prices of New York eggs are unchanged for larger sizes and 
Medium.  California and regional prices are steady.  Asking
prices for next week's deliveries are trending steady on 
Jumbo, lower on the balance of sizes.  The undertone is steady
to weak.  Retail and food service demand is moderate to fairly
good in the Southeast, light to moderate elsewhere with noted
improvement in the South Central.  Offerings are moderate to
heavy.  Present supplies range light to ample, mostly moderate
to heavy entering the weekend.  Market activity is slow to
moderate.  Breaking stock offerings are mixed, usually moderate
for the light to moderate demand.  Light type fowl supplies
are sufficient; processing schedules are normal to less than
normal.
