SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance 


Prices are 5 cents lower for Jumbo, 7 to 13 cents lower for Extra
Large, 8 to 13 cents lower for Large, unchanged to 2 cents higher 
for Medium and 2 cents higher for Small.  The undertone is steady 
at best in the Midwest, steady to weak in the South Central and on 
the East Coast.  In California, the undertone is steady to higher 
for lighter weight eggs, lower for heavier weights.  Demand into 
all channels is light to fairly good, best in the Southeast where 
featuring is a factor.  Supplies and offerings range light to heavy, 
mostly moderate for trading purposes.  Market activity is moderate 
in California, slow to moderate elsewhere.  Breaking stock supplies 
are moderate for the mostly moderate demand.  Spent fowl offerings 
are light to moderate; processing schedules are normal to less than 
normal.
