National Feedstuffs Market Review

The USDA Market News Service reports fed ingredient prices for the week ending May 
21, 2019 were mixed. Soybean Meal was mixed, 18.70 lower to 7.00 higher, mostly 2.70 
lower. Cottonseed Meal was steady to 10.00 higher, mostly steady. Whole Cottonseed 
was mixed, 5.00 lower to 5.00 higher.  Canola Meal was mixed 2.70 lower to 5.00 
higher mostly steady at 2.70. Linseed Meal was steady to 15.00 lower. Sunflower Meal 
was steady 5.00 higher. Crude Soybean Oil was mixed, 86 points lower to 14 points 
higher mostly 14.00 points higher. Crude Corn Oil was 175 points higher. Ruminant 
Meat and Bone Meal was mixed, 35.00 lower to 10.00 higher, mostly steady. Ruminant 
Blood Meal was steady to 50.00 higher. Feather Meal was steady. Yellow Corn Hominy 
was steady. Corn Gluten Feed was mixed, 3.00 lower to 30.00 higher, mostly steady. 
Corn Gluten Meal was steady to 5.00 lower. Distillers Dried Grain was mixed 11.00 
lower to 13 higher.  Wheat Millfeeds were mixed 30.00 lower to 10.00 higher. Wheat 
millrun was mixed to 2.00 lower to 2.00 higher.

Oilseeds: The July Soybean Meal futures closed 2.70 lower at 295.30 and August closed 
2.60 lower at 296.90. The July Soybean Oil futures closed 14 points higher at 27.14 cents 
per pound and August closed 13 points higher at 27.26 cents per pound.
 The Rail delivery of high protein Soybean Meal in Central Illinois was 9.70 to 18.70 
lower from 274.30-287.30; Indiana-Ohio was 2.70 lower from 280.30-29.30; Iowa was 
2.70 lower from 260.30-279.30; Kansas City was 1.70 lower from 284.30-285.30; 
Minneapolis was mixed 1.70 lower to 4.30 higher from 263.30-270.30; St. Louis was 
7.00 higher from 303.00-308.00; Memphis was 10.00 to 11.00 higher from 297.30-319.30; 
Portland was mixed 2.70 lower to 6.00 higher from 324.30-345.00; BN Santa Fe/Union 
Pacific delivered Chino Valley was 2.70 lower from 322.30-340.30. Cottonseed Meal FOB 
the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was steady to 10.00 higher from 280.00-
295.00; Kansas City was steady at 260.00; St. Louis was steady at 255.00; Memphis was 
steady from 215.00-220.00. Whole Cottonseed FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in 
California was steady to 5.00 lower from 295.00-310.00; delivered to Portland was 
steady from 325.00-335.00; Memphis was 5.00 higher at 200.00. Offers for nearby 
delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, delivered to Portland was steady to 
2.70 lower from 243.30-265.00; FOB Central San Joaquin Valley was 5.00 higher at 
280.00; Minneapolis was 2.70 lower from 200.30-215.30. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein 
in North Dakota-Minnesota was steady to 15.00 lower from 210.00-250.00. Sunflower 
Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was steady to 5.00 higher from 135.00-140.00 in 
the North Dakota-Minnesota area. The Soybean Oil in Central Illinois was 14 points 
higher from 26.40-26.74 cents per pound; Indiana-Ohio was 61 to 86 points lower from 
26.14-27.89; Iowa was 14 points higher from 26.39-27.64; Minnesota was 14 points 
higher from 26.64-27.64. Crude Corn Oil in Central Illinois was 175 points higher at 
28.75 cents per pound.

ANIMAL PROTEINS: Ruminant Meat and Bone Meal in the Central U.S. was 10.00 lower from 
210.00-215.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle was 5.00 higher from 165.00-170.00; 
Minneapolis was 20.00 to 35.00 higher from 190.00-220.00; Kansas City was 5.00 higher 
at 215.00; St. Louis was not available; Portland FOB production points was steady 
from 185.00-215.00; FOB Central and Northern California was steady from 200.00-
210.00; FOB Los Angeles was steady from 200.00-210.00. Pork Meat and Bone Meal in the 
Central U.S. was 165.00-170.00; Eastern Corn Belt was 210.00; Minneapolis was 10.00 
to 25.00 higher from 220.00-235.00; St. Louis was not available. Ruminant Blood Meal 
in the Central U.S. had no quote; FOB the Texas Panhandle had no quote; Minneapolis 
was steady from 660.00-800.00; delivered to the San Joaquin Valley was 50.00 higher 
at 925.00. Pork Blood Meal in the Central U.S. had no quote; Eastern Corn Belt was 
830.00; Minneapolis ranged from 775.00-825.00. Feather Meal in Kansas City was steady 
from 330.00-340.00; Minneapolis was steady from 325.00-400.00 with an instance of 
540.00; Arkansas steady from 300.00-310.00; Mississippi was steady from 300.00-
320.00. 

CORN FEEDS: Yellow Corn Hominy in Central Illinois was steady at 95.00 for rail, 
truck was steady from 98.00-100.00; Kansas City (Northwest) was not available; St. 
Louis was 110.00; California rail was steady from 180.00-184.00, truck was steady 
from 185.00-190.00. Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest (NE,IA, IL, IN) was steady to 
3.00 lower from 80.00-97.00; Kansas City was steady from 165.00-170.00; St. Louis was 
30.00 higher at 160.00, California was mixed 2.00 lower to 5.00 higher from 190.00-
202.00. Corn Gluten Meal, 60 percent protein in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was steady 
to 5.00 lower from 330.00-380.00; Kansas City was not available; St. Louis was steady 
at 400.00. Distillers Dried Grain prices in Iowa was 5.00 lower from 105.00-125.00; 
Eastern Cornbelt (IL, IN, OH, MI) was 1.00 lower to 3.00 higher from 114.00-147.00; 
Kansas was steady to 10.00 lower from 120.00-145.00; Minnesota was mixed 7.00 lower 
to 2.00 higher from 103.00-120.00; Nebraska was steady to 13.00 higher lower from 
105.00-137.00; Wisconsin was 5.00 to 2.00 lower from 115.00-137.00; South Dakota was 
5.00 to 11.00 lower from 105.00-119.00; Missouri was steady to 5.00 higher from

183.00-208.00; Pacific Northwest mills was mixed 2.00 lower to 3.00 higher from

WHEAT MILLFEEDS: Wheat Millfeeds in Buffalo, NY were steady at 95.00; Kansas City was 
20.00 to 30.00 lower from 50.00-65.00; Minneapolis was steady to 10.00 higher from 
80.00-90.00 with an instance of 60.00; St. Louis was 10.00 lower from 70.00-80.00. 
Wheat Millrun delivered Portland was steady at 170.00; FOB Los Angeles mill was mixed 
2.00 lower to 2.00 higher from 132.00-168.00.

OTHERS: In the south Rice Bran, Millfeed and Rice Hulls were steady. In California, Rice 
Bran prices and Rice hulls steady. Alfalfa Meal prices were steady to 3.00 higher across 
the nation this past week.
