The Census is the leading source of statistics about the Nation's agricultural production and the only source of consistent, comparable data at the county, state, and national levels. The Census includes all places from which $1,000 or more of agricultural products, including government payments, were produced and sold, or normally would have been sold, during the census year. Census publications also include demographic items such as sex of producer, residence on or off the farm, days worked off farm, years present on farm, age group categories, race, and number of persons living in each household. * QuickStats database only.
