Crawford Livestock Auction
Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 11/30/2018

Receipts: 4178 Last Week: 0 Year Ago: 3520

First reported feeder cattle sale in three weeks a market trend is not
applicable. Demand was moderate to good. Friday’s sale was the first this
fall that showed a large supply of weaned calves. Also, several lots of
double vaccinated bawling calves sold in the run. Quality was attractive
from start to finish. Harvest cattle sold on Thursday; compared to two
weeks ago cows sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Not enough bulls for a market test.
Heavy supply of old and thin fleshed cows in the mix. Friday supply
comprised of 82 percent calves with the balance on harvest cattle. Of the
feeders 52 percent were steers with only 23 percent of the run over 600 lbs.
Next Thursday will be a dry cow special and Friday will be a Bred heifer and
Cow auction.
