MD_DA530 Dry Whey - Central U.S. Report 3 - Released on January 16, 2020 Dry whey trading was busier, as was the case in most dairy powders this week. Dry whey prices shifted up on the top of the mostly price series and the bottom of the range. The winter holidays are, for the first time, clearly in the metaphorical rearview mirror. Domestic dry whey end users are returning to the fray. They are eyeing potential deals for the remainder of Q1 and/or short-term/monthly deals. That said, offers are reportedly not as abundant as expected, yet. One certainty is cheese production has increased with widely available milk supplies. Animal feed whey trading remains quiet at the start of the year. Milk replacer prices remain unswayed. The dry whey market tone is steadily firm.
