During June, at least until last week, milk production was up from last year and cheese was where much of the increased production was directed. The heat of the last few days in Germany and France may have slowed milk production. Cheese storage facilities have capacity for anticipated production. Currently stocks on hand are comfortable for handling export and internal EU orders. Export inquiries have slowed. Cheese markets in these leading cheese producing countries are steady and balanced. United States domestic cheese prices increased $0.0200 for blue, gorgonzola, parmesan and romano. All other prices are steady.
