Evening lows in the mid to high 50s and no rain expected. The North areas of the state will be about 5-10 degrees cooler with. Domestic buyers have been busy this week and export business has increased along with prices. The good weather and stronger prices has growers going back into the orchards for another run to pick up what is left out there. Early in the season some growers were not going to go back as mostly non irrigated orchards did not seem to have much volume, but with the price increase many are going in and cleaning up what is left out there. A thought that we would be finished by Christmas in Georgia is now an afterthought and most likely we will go into January as usual. An interesting note is that the yard tree sales have not increased as much as was expected especially before the holidays with these prices being paid out.
