This report does not represent all animals at the sale on this date.*** Carolina Stockyards, Siler City, NC Weighted Average Auction Report Monday Feb 18, 2019 Cattle Receipts: 158 Last Week: 222 Last Year: 210 Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Feeder cattle were steady to 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Moderate demand and buyer activity. Light offerings with quality of cattle average. Slaughter cows made up 22 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2 percent, replacement cows 1 percent, and feeders 76 percent. The feeder supply included 33 percent steers, 42 percent heifers, and 25 percent bulls. Near 10 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
