Butter manufacturing is transitioning from print to bulk. Print butter processing is slowing as holiday retail orders decrease. In general, butter inventories are steady to building into cold storage. Based on the CME Group, with various periods and averages used, this week, bulk butter pricing varies among regions: East, 5.0 cents to 8.0 cents above the market; Central, 4.5 cents to 7.0 cents above the market; West, 0.0 cent to 7.0 cents above the market. Today¶s CME Group cash price for Grade AA butter is $2.2050, up $0.0150, compared to last Friday¶s price, $2.1900.
