        Mexico to TX. & NM. Weekly Feeder Cattle Import Summary

   Receipts EST: 10,000  Week ago Act: 14,336  Year ago Act: 15,365 

   Compared to last week, steer calves and yearlings sold steady to
7.00 higher.  Heifers 2.00-3.00 higher.  Trade moderate to active,
demand good.  The bulk of the supply consisted of steers and spayed
heifers weighing 300-700 lbs.

   Feeder steers:  Medium and large 1&2 300-400 lbs 155.00-170.00;
400-500 lbs 135.00-150.00; 500-600 lbs 120.00-140.00; 600-700 lbs
120.00-130.00.  Medium and large 2&3, 300-400 lbs 137.00-155.00;
400-500 lbs 120.00-135.00; 500-600 lbs 105.00-125.00.

   Feeder heifers: Medium and large 1&2, 300-400 lbs 132.00-148.00,
few 150.00 basis 300 lbs; 400-500 lbs 122.00-138.00; 500-600 lbs
112.00-128.00.
