        Mexico to TX. & NM. Weekly Feeder Cattle Import Summary

   Receipts EST: 13,000  Week ago Act: 14,389  Year ago Act: 14,316 

   Compared to last week, steer calves and yearlings sold steady to 
4.00 higher.  Heifers steady to 2.00 higher.  Trade active, demand
good.  The bulk of the supply consisted of steers and spayed heifers
pweighing 300-700 lbs.

   Feeder steers:  Medium and large 1&2 300-400 lbs 162.00-180.00;
400-500 lbs 142.00-160.00; 500-600 lbs 128.00-150.00; 600-700 lbs
126.00-140.00.  Medium and large 2&3, 300-400 lbs 147.00-165.00;
400-500 lbs 127.00-145.00; 500-600 lbs 113.00-135.00.

   Feeder heifers: Medium and large 1&2, 300-400 lbs 137.00-155.00;
400-500 lbs 127.00-145.00; 500-600 lbs 117.00-135.00.       

 ****slide 10 cents on steers and heifers basis 300 lbs.****
