   Receipts EST: 13,000  Week ago Act: 12,602  Year ago Act: 14,473 

   Compared to last week, steer calves and yearlings sold steady to
4.00 higher.  Heifers steady to 2.00 higher.  Trade active, demand
good.  The bulk of the supply consisted of steers and spayed heifers
weighing 300-700 lbs.

   Feeder steers:  Medium and large 1&2 300-400 lbs 162.00-176.00;
400-500 lbs 145.00-156.00; 500-600 lbs 135.00-146.00; 600-700 lbs
125.00-136.00.  Medium and large 2&3, 300-400 lbs 147.00-161.00;
400-500 lbs 130.00-141.00; 500-600 lbs 120.00-131.00.

   Feeder heifers: Medium and large 1&2, 300-400 lbs 142.00-154.00;
400-500 lbs 132.00-144.00; 500-600 lbs 122.00-134.00.       

 ****slide 10 cents on steers and heifers basis 300 lbs.****
