        Mexico to TX. & NM. Weekly Feeder Cattle Import Summary

   Receipts EST: 17,000  Week ago Act: 14,470  Year ago Act: 21,399 

   Compared to last week, steer calves and yearlings sold steady to 
2.00 lower.  Heifers steady to 2.00 higher.  Trade moderate to active,
demand good.  The bulk of the supply consisted of steers and spayed
heifers weighing 300-700 lbs.

   Feeder steers:  Medium and large 1&2 300-400 lbs 165.00-178.00;
400-500 lbs 145.00-158.00; 500-600 lbs 130.00-148.00; 600-700 lbs
125.00-138.00.  Medium and large 2&3, 300-400 lbs 150.00-163.00;
400-500 lbs 130.00-143.00; 500-600 lbs 115.00-133.00.

   Feeder heifers: Medium and large 1&2, 300-400 lbs 142.00-158.00,
few 160.00 300 lb basis; 400-500 lbs 132.00-148.00; 500-600 lbs
122.00-138.00.
