protocol changes, age identification for cattle destined for immediate slaughter is no longer required on the
Canadian export certificate. Since we can no longer accurately distinguish the different classes of slaughter cattle,
we combined the existing classifications into a broader category to include all slaughter steers, heifers, and cows.
