Toppenish Livestock Auction, Toppenish, WA for Thursday 4/4/2019

   Compared to last Thursday at the same market, stocker and feeder steers and 
heifers steady in a light test on reduced offerings. Slaughter cows 2.00-4.00 
higher as processors anticipate higher demand for grilling season. Slaughter bulls 
steady. Trade active with good demand for all classes. Slaughter cows 71 percent, 
slaughter bulls 5 percent, and feeders 24 percent of the supply. The feeder supply 
included 37 percent steers and 63 percent heifers. Near 47 percent of the run 
weighed over 600 lbs.  
     
   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1-2:  500-600 lbs 184.00-196.00;  600-700 lbs 
150.00;  600-700 lbs 174.50, Thin Fleshed;  700-800 lbs 119.00, Brahman X;  800-900 
lbs 130.00.  Large 1:  900-1000 lbs 125.00-128.00.  Small and Medium 2-3:  300-400 
lbs 184.00.

   Holstein Steers:  Medium and Large 2:  500-600 lbs 130.00-141.00;  700-800 lbs 
115.00.       

   Bulls:  Medium and Large 1-2:  300-400 lbs 175.00;  500-600 lbs 154.00.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1-2:  400-500 lbs 171.00;  500-600 lbs 153.00;
