Whey Protein Concentrate - Central and Western U.S.

     Report 44 - Released on October 31, 2019

Prices for whey protein concentrate 34% are unchanged and the market tone is somewhat
lackadaisical. WPC 34% prices are rangebound. A few buyers are looking to assure coverage
for immediate and future needs with their favorite brands, but most buyers seem content to
buy as needed, not looking to warehouse any extra WPC34%. And manufacturers have not been
able to push prices further. Industry contacts are surprised that WPC34% has not moved with
the recent nonfat dry milk rally. However, weak market conditions for higher whey protein
concentrations also play into the static market conditions. WPC34% production is steady and
     inventories are stable.
Prices for: Central and Western U.S., All First Sales, F.O.B., Extra Grade, Conventional,
     and Edible Whey Protein Concentrate
