     Whey Protein Concentrate - Central and Western U.S.

     Whey protein concentrate 34% prices held steady at the top of the range, increased at the
     bottom of the range, and inched higher at the top and bottom of the mostly price series. The
     market tone for WPC34% is generally stable. Supply and demand appear to be in reasonably
     good balance. Somewhat limited production across the industry is keeping inventories in
     check. While types of WPC34% that is more interchangeable with other protein sources have
     greater availability, the dearth of uncommitted WPC34% that meets infant formula
     requirements or other stringent customer requirements has helped manufacturers maintain
     higher price points for some spot sales.
