Whey Protein Concentrate - Central and Western U.S.

     Report 45 - Released on November 07, 2019

Whey protein concentrate 34% prices are steady. Some industry contacts are a bit perplexed
that WPC34% prices have not moved along with the increases in the nonfat dry milk market.
But higher whey protein concentrations are keeping a damper on the WPC34% prices. Industry
contacts suggest production is steady, but a few think some manufacturers are easing away
from WPC80% to make more WPC34%. Inventories vary. While some processors have WPC34%
readily available, others say they could sell more if they had it. For customers with hard
to meet specifications, there is a limited amount of WPC34% accessible.
