DC_LS165 Oklahoma City, OK Fri Dec 07, 2018 USDA-KS Dept Ag Mkt News Kansas Direct Feeder Cattle Summary Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 12/07/2018 Receipts: 3,219 Last Week: 5,577 Last Year: 1,692 Compared with last week: Feeder steers and heifers were lightly tested last week on a Current FOB Basis. A higher undertone was noted though. Negotiated fat cattle trade picking up in the Southern Plains and feedlot inventories remain pretty full. Demand moderate, especially for cattle that will be finished in April. Volume includes 100 percent 600 lbs and over. Feeder supply includes 64 percent steers and 36 percent heifers. Unless otherwise stated prices are FOB weighting points with 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent and a 5-10 cent slide on calves and a 4-16 cent slide on yearlings from base weights.
