DC_LS165 Oklahoma City, OK Fri Feb 15, 2019 USDA-KS Dept Ag Mkt News Kansas Direct Feeder Cattle Summary Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/15/2019 Receipts: 3,725 Last Week: 2,892 Last Year: 1,500 Compared with last week: Trades limited for current delivery of feeder steers and heifers. Limited steers sold firm and few heifers of comparison were weak. Feeder demand good as weather in the south warmed up and southwest winds helped to dry out many areas. This was short lived as cold air moved thru overnight and is expected to stay for a while. Winter is not over yet. Volume includes 100 percent 600 lbs and over. Feeder supply includes 18 percent steers and 82 percent heifers. Unless otherwise stated prices are FOB weighting points with 2-3 percent Shrink or equivalent and a 5-10 cent slide on calves and a 4-8 cent slide on yearlings from base weights.
