There are reports that Class II sales are down, but Class III sales are strong. Some operations are running at capacity. In general, the Northeast milk supply is in good balance with manufacturers' milk needs. Mid-Atlantic milk production is fairly level. Balancing and manufacturing plant intakes are below capacity at this time. Some milk from the area is traveling to the Southeast for Class I needs. Southeast milk output is not meeting some market participants' expectations. Milk off the farms is fairly flat currently. The Eastern area continues to be in the situation of receiving milk loads from other regions. Cooler temperatures are hitting parts of Florida. Milk production is growing at a quicker rate right now, and there are some anticipations milk output will increase with the colder weather. Class I sales are strong at this time. Cream demand is steady to fairly healthy currently. Many market participants are on the spot market purchasing cream loads for their immediate needs. Multiples range 1.05-1.25. There are reports of increased butter production due to accessible cream. Condensed skim market conditions are unchanged. Some balancing plants are focused on customers' condensed skim orders.
