MD_DA210 Fluid Milk and Cream - Eastern U.S. Report 47 - Released on November 20, 2019 Northeast milk production is slightly picking up. Class I sales are stable to strong before Thanksgiving. Some manufacturers are not at capacity due to scheduled maintenance days. Mid- Atlantic milk output is mixed currently. There is limited milk moving into many operations in the area. There are expectations manufacturers’ milk volumes will pick up next week. Southeast farm milk production is level to steadily increasing. Bottling orders are lower this week as most Class I needs are fulfilled. There is milk moving into manufacturing at this time. Milk production in Florida is picking up. Class I sales are robust this week before the holiday. Eggnog and other specialty holiday product production schedules are active for this time of year. Currently, cream demand is fairly stable. There are anticipations the demand will drop next week. Some manufacturers are expecting cream prices will be at a discount. Cream multiples are ranging 1.27-1.35 F.O.B. Manufacturers’ weekly condensed skim contracts are taking the majority of loads. Buyers are purchasing little to no spot loads at this time.
