   Compared to last week at Sioux Falls, SD slaughter lambs steady to
1.00 higher; slaughter ewes weak to 5.00 lower; feeder lambs not well
tested.

Slaughter Lambs:   Choice and Prime 2-3 90-150 lbs:
  Sioux Falls:    shorn and wooled 105-150 lbs 147.00-154.50.
Slaughter Lambs:  Choice and Prime 1-2:
  Sioux Falls:    wooled and shorn 58 lbs 155.00; 60-85 lbs 163.00-
                  168.00; 90-100 lbs 156.00-167.00. 
Slaughter Ewes:
  Sioux Falls:    Good 3-4 (very fleshy) 51.00-54.00; Good 2-3 (fleshy)
                  50.50-62.50; Utility 1-2 (thin) 40.00-51.00; Cull 1
                  37.00.
Feeder Lambs:   Medium and Large 1-2:
  Sioux Falls:    46 lbs 160.00; 60-70 lbs 157.50-165.00; 89 lbs 145.00.
Replacement Ewes: Medium and Large 1-2:
  Sioux Falls:    no test.

Sheep and lamb slaughter under federal inspection for the week to date
totaled 24,000 compared with 24,000 last week and 26,000 last year.
