Cattle under 700 lbs were mostly in light flesh, while cattle over 700 lbs were in light to moderate flesh, with a few backgrounded offerings pushing moderate plus flesh. Backgrounded, feedlot ready cattle, sold on mostly moderate demand this week. Market activity was active throughout the sale, with very active bidding seen at times. Weigh up cows sold on mostly good to very good demand for moderate to heavy offerings. Packers showed good demand for cows for immediate harvest as supplies of cows are currently tight in the upper plains due to weather and seasonality. Feeding buyers were also active purchasing offerings. This created very good demand for all offerings as both packers and feeding buyers attempted to fill loads.
