KO_LS795 Oklahoma City, OK Wed Dec 12, 2018 USDA-OK Dept of Ag Market News Oklahoma National Stockyards, Oklahoma City, OK Feeder Cattle Weekly Summary Report for the week of 12/10/2018 Receipts this Week: 4,357 Last Week: 13,834 Year Ago: 7,868 Compared to last week: Feeder steers 600-700 lbs. 2.00-3.00 higher, 700-800 lbs. 2.00-3.00 lower on a lighter test. Feeder heifers too lightly tested for a accurate trend. 400-550 lb. steer calves 1.00-2.00 lower, 550-700 lb. calves 2.00-5.00 higher. Heifer calves unevenly steady on a limited test. Demand moderate to good with long weaned calves trading with fairly good demand. Quality plain to average, few attractive. Winter weather storms were expected over the weekend but did not actually arrive limiting livestock movement. Feeder cattle supply included 56 percent Steers, 39 percent Heifers, and 5 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 36 percent. Slaughter cows mostly steady to 1.00 lower. Slaughter bulls mostly 1.00 lower. Packer demand moderate. A total of 286 cows and bulls sold with 28 percent going to packers.
