Broiler/Fryer:  Daily National Broiler Market at-a-Glance


Whole broiler/fryer prices are steady to weak for all sizes. 
Offerings range moderate to heavy to satisfy limited trade 
needs except in the West where they are light. Spot market 
demand is light to occasionally moderate. Floor stocks are
light to balanced. Market activity is slow to moderate. In the 
parts structure, all items are steady to weak. Supplies of 
wings are sufficient, breast cuts and dark meat items are mostly 
moderate. Market activity is slow to sometimes moderate. In 
production areas, live supplies are mostly desirable weights.

The National Composite Weighted Average for 08/16/19 is 82.55 compared to
83.24 a week earlier, and 86.13 a year ago.
