Broiler/Fryer:  Daily National Broiler Market at-a-Glance

Whole broiler/fryer prices are at least steady to firm for heavier
size birds, steady for smaller weights. Offerings of all sizes are 
light to moderate with larger size birds in the best position.
Retail and food service demand is light to moderate for mid-week
business. Floor stocks are balanced. Market activity is slow to 
moderate. In the parts structure, the market is trending steady 
to weak on breast meat items. Boneless skinless breast are mixed
depending on the size, and  bone-in breast are steady at best. 
Dark meat items are in the best position, with wings and tenders 
trending steady to instances better than steady. Offerings of dark 
meat items and wings are light to moderate, with smaller size wings 
close balanced. Boneless skinless breast and bone-in breast are 
moderate to heavy and slightly more available than the previous week. 
In production areas, live supplies are moderate at mostly desirable 
weights.
